Civil War Soldier's Monument, White Bear Lake, Ramsey County, Minn.

This Grand Army of the Republic monument is located at 2nd St & Clark Ave. in White Bear Lake, Minn. It was dedicated May 30, 1913. The monument lists the names of committee members responsible for the monument; they represent the Grand Army of the Republic, The Sons of Veterans, and the local community. The names of the living and deceased GAR Post members are inscribed on another side. Around the base of the monument are the names of major Civil War battles, including Gettysburg, Vicksburg and Chickamauga. The monument faces north.
