The following information was transcribed from Joseph Miller's newspaper obituary: Joseph Miller, 95, senior vice-commander of the Wisconsin Department of the Grand Army of the Republic and Richland county's last Civil war veteran, died at his home early today. He had been blind three years. He served four years with Co. A, 36th Wisconsin Infantry and took up farming near here after the war. (Research notation - the 36th Wis.
