(Obituary from The Oshkosh Northwestern, 17 July 1936)

Sturgeon Bay, Wis - Nicholas Kill, 91, the last Civil War Veteran in Door County, died at his home yesterday after an illness of two months.

Nicholas Kill was drafted into Co. K, 1st Wisconsin Infantry, at Herman, Wis., on 30 Dec. 1863. He was transferred to Co. K, 21st Wisconsin on Sept. 19, 1864, and later transferred to Co. K, 3rd Wisconsin Infantry on June 8, 1865. He mustered out with that company on July 18, 1865.
